used to表示過(guò)去的習(xí)慣性動(dòng)作，過(guò)去如此，現(xiàn)在不再這樣了。常譯作“過(guò)去常?！?。be used to表示“被用來(lái)做某事”。used to是“過(guò)去常常做什么”，后接動(dòng)詞原形。be used to是“習(xí)慣做什么”，后接名詞和動(dòng)名詞(ing)。

1、It cannot be used to bond wood to metal.

這不能把木料粘貼在金屬上。

2、Computer software can be used to simulate conditions on the seabed.
