Less than主要用來(lái)表示時(shí)間程度上的少于，而fewer than主要用于表示除時(shí)間之外的可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)的使用。傳統(tǒng)語(yǔ)法將這兩種用法規(guī)定為fewer than用于可數(shù)名詞，而less than用于不可數(shù)名詞，但是實(shí)際生活中l(wèi)ess than也用于可數(shù)名詞。
