the number of后面接復(fù)數(shù)，但是謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)，結(jié)構(gòu)是：the number of+可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)+三單謂語(yǔ)。

the number of 表示“...的數(shù)量”

后面加可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)，但是因?yàn)橹行脑~是“數(shù)量”，也就是說(shuō)我們的主語(yǔ)是“the number”,所以后面的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞要用三人稱單數(shù)形式。

即：the number of+可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)+三單謂語(yǔ)

e.g.我們班的人數(shù)是40人。

The number of students is 40 in our class.

企業(yè)倒閉的數(shù)量增加了。

這種藥增加了血液里的紅細(xì)胞數(shù)量，從而將攝氧量提高了10%。

4、The number of unemployed people in Poland has grown by more than a quarter in the last month.

上個(gè)月，波蘭的失業(yè)人數(shù)增長(zhǎng)超過(guò)了1/4。

5、After eleven days of growth the number of sprouts was counted.
